Overview

Public Relations should be part of overall company strategy and PR managers should plan their communications strategy to reflect company objectives. Combining modules from PR Management – levels 1 and 2, our two-week Strategic Public Relations Management course covers a broad range of topics to equip participants with a solid foundation in Public Relations. The curriculum examines PR as a discipline, the importance of identifying target markets, and the use of communications channels (print, television, radio) to reach those markets. Time will then be devoted to exploring media relations along with practical considerations on how to organise press conferences and interviews effectively. With new media and social media becoming ever more popular in society, participants will learn how they have impacted on traditional public relations strategies. In PR, it is important to generate publicity and this can be achieved through events, exhibitions, sponsorships and other activities, which this course will also place emphasis on. Bringing this all together, delegates will learn how to implement a PR plan and measure results through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
