Overview

International protocol has a number of unwritten guidelines, procedures, and rules which can be confusing even for experienced protocol officers. These relate to cultural etiquette in business, dressing for overseas occasions, and entertaining foreign dignitaries. Our five day training course, Protocol and Travel Management - Level 2, builds on the foundations taught in level 1 and contains up to the minute advice on protocol developments and lessons on mastering the minefield of global cultural understanding. Training consultants teach the importance of how efficient protocol management strengthens relationships and reputation and how managers can achieve their objectives through proper appreciation of corporate business standards abroad. The curriculum gives detailed advice on building and maintaining strong relationships - both in business and government - and aims to develop important communication skills required within this field. Participants will also learn how to prepare and organise meetings effectively at home and abroad. Finally, the course also looks at international conflict and how travel can be disrupted through global crises. Time will be spent learning to evaluate threats and planning for contingencies.
